UPC NUMBERS
Universal Product Code Numbers are recognized worldwide as the preferred means for electronic data interchange. The UPC numbers are for inventory control, but the systems installed will be useful in developing EDI.

The 12-digit UPC numbering system uses the first 6 digits to identify the manufacturer, and the last 6 digits to identify the individual part or product:

Only the last 6 digits of the UPC number are needed to order a product by mail, phone, or fax from Tyler Pipe.

Currently, UFCO does not use the UPC codes.
