Tyler Pipe team challenges the “Bee”

Remarkable – R-E-M-A-R-K-A-B-L-E ~ An adjective that can be used to describe an individual or group that has surpassed expectations to accomplish a goal or milestone.  On August 2, 2016, Tyler Pipe along with 18 other large employers in Tyler, joined together to show support and raise money for the Literacy Council at a city-wide spelling bee.  Two representatives from each company did their level best to spell the words correctly that were provided.  Not an easy feat!  You will be happy to know that Tyler's Team made up of Gwen Jackson & Heath Huffstetter cleared most of the pack and made it to the fourth of six rounds.  The word that tripped them up was CYNOSURE.  Not only is this a hard work to spell, it was challenging for the moderator to pronounce.  You can imagine how hard it must be to spell a difficult word while up on a stage with 500 people watching you.  This year's spelling bee was a blast and helped raise over $61,000 to assist the Literacy Council.  Hats off again to Gwen Jackson and Heath Huffstetter for their REMARKABLE performance.
