Tyler Union machinists complete machining concepts training

In September 2016, the final two groups of CNC flange machinists began their training on machining concepts conducted by the Alabama Technology Network. The training consisted of course modules in precision measurement, shop math, tooling, blue print reading, and machine operation with each module designed to increase their overall knowledge of machining concepts and to answer some of the "whys" of what they do on a daily basis. Each module was tested and a final exam given the last week of January, 2017.

Students completing the course were awarded a certificate during a celebratory luncheon for their accomplishment and have also been reclassified as CNC flange machinist level 2.

Congratulations to each of these team members for their hard work and dedication!
